Skill development is funded under NDIS Capacity Building — typically "Improved Daily Living" or "Finding and Keeping a Job" for employment-related training. We charge strictly in line with the official NDIS Pricing Arrangements & Price Limits — no hidden fees, no surprises.
Every NDIS plan is different. Goals, support ratios (1:1 vs group), session length, time of day and worker qualifications all change what's claimed against your plan.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all price list, we'll review your plan and goals with you and provide a transparent quote — written, itemised, and easy to compare.

Skill development falls under Capacity Building in your NDIS plan, specifically "Improved Daily Living" or "Finding and Keeping a Job" (for employment skills). Unlike Core Supports, Capacity Building funding is usually fixed and can't be moved to other categories. If your plan doesn't include enough Capacity Building, we can help you request more at your next review.
It depends on the skill complexity and individual factors. Simple tasks might take a few sessions, while complex skills like using public transport independently could take several months. We set realistic timeframes and celebrate progress along the way. The key is consistent practice—we recommend regular sessions rather than occasional intensive ones.
Absolutely! We encourage family involvement where appropriate. Family members can learn techniques to support practice between sessions, understand what skills are being developed, and help reinforce learning at home. We can also train family members directly if this is included in your plan.
Training happens wherever the skill will be used! Cooking skills are best learned in your kitchen, travel training on actual public transport, and shopping skills at real shops. For some skills, we start in a controlled environment before progressing to real-world settings. Group sessions may be held at our centres or community venues.
If progress stalls, we reassess our approach. We might try different teaching methods, break the skill into smaller steps, or address underlying barriers. Sometimes a skill that seems achievable needs more foundational work first. We're committed to finding what works for you—not giving up if the first approach doesn't click.
