Disability Support Worker - Perth

About the Role

We're looking for compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing Perth team. In this rewarding role, you'll provide personalized support to NDIS participants, helping them achieve their goals and live their best life.

You'll work with individuals across various age groups and support needs, from young adults to seniors, in their homes, in the community, and at our day programs. Every day is different, and every interaction makes a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support participants with daily living activities such as meal preparation, household tasks, and medication prompting
• Accompany participants to community activities, appointments, and social outings
• Assist with skill development and capacity building programs
• Implement and follow individual care plans and positive behaviour support strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and the wider support team
• Provide transport using your own vehicle or company vehicles

Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or willingness to obtain
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old)
• Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Right to work in Australia

Desirable Skills

• Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours or high physical needs
• Manual handling and hoist training
• Mental Health First Aid certification
• Cultural awareness training (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander)
• Second language a plus (Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic)

Working Hours

We offer a range of shift patterns to suit your lifestyle:

• Morning shifts: 6am - 2pm
• Afternoon shifts: 2pm - 10pm
• Overnight shifts: 10pm - 6am (active and sleepover)
• Weekends: Penalty rates apply
